Take a second and imagine what it’ll feel like to say:
“I speak fluent German”
with complete honesty…
Fully knowing that if you had to make an emergency trip to Berlin that you would be able to…
- call a taxi
- find your way around without misinterpreted directions
- stop for a quick lunch at a restaurant (and correctly order the food you’re craving)
- read a newspaper about what’s going on locally (and never miss the best events)
- and talk intimately with people with absolute ease
- showing off your German language skills at work and closing the deal with confidence
Wouldn’t it feel amazing to be able to do everything in German you normally do in English?
That’s what I’m going to coach you to do.
My name is Karin Raffa — the professionally trained and experienced German teacher and ICF accredited Neurolanguage Coach®* for anglophones moving to German-speaking countries who want to achieve that incredible feeling of living life in a foreign language.

That’s why I coach people to use German. It’s my part of my mission in life – to bring more understanding, happiness, and love to the planet. You can read more about my philosophy to figure out if I’m the right person for you.

I’ve been teaching for 16+ years, so I know a thing or two…
I’ve been helping people at different speaking levels across the spectrum to learn German since 1999.
This is what I’ve earned: a Master-Level Degree in Language and Literature, an internationally recognized teaching qualification, an MA Education and a Neurolanguage Coaching®* qualification. I’ve been around the block and have lots of experience. And, yes, I´m really good at it.
I have worked in different countries and truly lived the foreign language experience myself – several times (including all misunderstandings and frustrations). So, I intimately know what it’s like to experience a new culture, language, and people.
I absolutely love the coaching part of my job, I want to share my passion in a big way which is why I’ve taken my work online – to reach more people and truly change their lives by giving them the chance to live brand new experiences.
With as much experience as I have, I can anticipate the difficulties you might encounter and help you work through it without getting frustrated and losing your motivation.
I’d love to be a part of your learning journey.

If you’ve ever tried to learn a language in school (without success), you probably think that you’re “not good with languages” or that learning a foreign language is all about grammar rules, long lists of words and flash cards.
I’m sure when you first thought about tackling the German language, you realized how foreign it REALLY is. It might’ve been a completely new experience without any contact to the language, its culture, or its people. And just thinking about studying it reminds you of your school experience – which I’m sure you’d rather forget.
Here’s the thing about how most languages are taught: You take a LOT of time and effort learning the core principles and THEN – after a long time – you finally get to apply it.
This is NOT my approach.
It’s not fun, it’s stressful, and you don’t feel like you’ve really accomplished anything until MUCH later.
There’s a better, more brain-friendly way to learn German and that’s by making it FUN, RELEVANT and TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS AND WANTS.
The way I coach is by helping your brain focus, make new connections faster, so the information sticks. AND apply it immediately in situations relevant to you. This is KEY to Neurolanguage Coaching®*. When you’re open to a different approach, in a calm and relaxed state, motivated and focused, you’ll learn FASTER and BETTER than with any other method.
